Broad Street Study

Charleston, SC 2005

Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Communications

The City of Charleston hired DWG Inc. to evaluate the existing building to determine what improvements could be made to upgrade all systems to properly meet life safety codes and standards. DWG Inc. assessed the condition and made recommendations regarding the Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical systems for the building. The City of Charleston hired someone else to design and execute the work on the building. After the work was completed the occupants of 50 Broad Street experienced discomfort issues due to improper zoning of the HVAC systems. At that time, DWG Inc. was contacted to evaluate the modifications and make recommendations to modify the existing systems and change airflow distribution to provide for more appropriate zoning.
