Seacoast Church, in Mount Pleasant, SC, has finished the newest addition just in time for the Easter services!

DWG engineers on site February 2019

Plans for the addition were approved by the town in 2015, and DWG excitedly joined LS3P, Inc.’s Greenville, SC team that same year. DWG focused on the design and construction of all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment for the new addition, as well as fire protection design throughout the building.

The project took nearly two years, from ground-breaking to opening, to complete. The new 2,500-seat sanctuary addition also includes new audio equipment, as well as new parking spaces numbering into the hundreds. This new space has been designed to accommodate the vast number of members and attendees, while still creating a welcoming atmosphere and avoiding the negative “megachurch” stigma.

Although Seacoast has 14 campuses throughout both Carolina’s, the growth happening in the immediate area solidified their need for the new addition, which seats more than the Charleston Gaillard Center or the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Seacoast has plans to utilize the new facility space in additional ways to help the surrounding communities by hosting numerous events throughout the year(s) such as graduations, conferences, training, etc.

This new space will offer Seacoast Church the ability to continue in their efforts in becoming a place for the community and DWG is honored to have been a part of the outstanding team who brought the vision to life.
