Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering Design Services
The scope of work for this project was to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering systems for the construction of a new 25,000 square foot public safety facility to include 4 apparatus bays, living quarters with full kitchen facilities, administrative space, and support areas for the fire department as well as administrative space, prisoner and evidence processing, secure vehicle storage, and dispatch for the police department. The facility consisted of three stories with no basement.
Specific areas of engineering services include:
-HVAC systems include DX VAV units, Split System and Variable Refrigerant Heat Pumps, Kitchen Hoods with Exhaust and Make-up air fans, and Gas Infrared heaters.
-Electrical systems include Emergency Generator, Infrastructure for 911 Call center and Police and Fire Radio services.
-Plumbing systems include Underground diesel storage tank for generator, solar tube water heater and general public and private restroom facilities.
Project scope involved the provision of mechanical and electrical engineering services, for a new 3,000 square foot fire station and police substation in John’s Island, South Carolina. This facility was designed to minimize the visual impact of new development.
Project scope involved the provision of mechanical and electrical engineering services, for renovations to Fire Station No. 3 in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This Station was commissioned to explore the programmatic requirements and design solutions that established the standard for the Hilton Head Island Fire and Rescue Team. The newly renovated 7,900-square-foot facility features of a new 3-bay, captain’s and fire chief’s offices, day room, dining room, sleep rooms accommodating for 3 shifts of 6 people in each, as well as storage and support areas.
